SCHOLARSHIPS
AT WELLINGTON PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE
In 2008, Wellington Performing Arts Centre offered two fees scholarships for both six-month part-time Professional Dance Training Courses in 2008. Each scholarship was worth $7,200. The scholarships were made possible through the generous contribution of the Performing Arts Foundation of New Zealand, with the balance being provided by Wellington Performing Arts Centre.

In the past, the scholarships have awarded to one Maori male dancer or one musical theatre student and/or one Pacific Island male dancer and/or musical theatre student. This gives them the opportunity to undertake a year’s training in commercial dance or musical theatre.
