SCHOLARSHIPS

AT WELLINGTON PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE

 

Wellington Performing Arts Centre will be offering two fees scholarships for both six-month part-time Professional Dance Training Courses during 2008.  Each scholarship will be worth $7,200. The scholarships have been made possible through the generous contribution of the Performing Arts Foundation of New Zealand, with the balance being provided by Wellington Performing Arts Centre.

 


PERFORMING ARTS FOUNDATION OF NEW ZEALAND

The scholarships will be awarded to one Maori male dancer and one Pacific Island male dancer giving them the opportunity to undertake a year’s training in commercial dance.

Applicants for the scholarships should request the Scholarship Application Form at the time of applying for a place.

  • 2006 Scholars: Ian Vincent and Mutu Malcolm
  • 2007 Scholar: Adam Newland
  • 2008 Scholars: Kani Collier and Isaac Marsh

AUDITIONS

Entry to most courses is by audition.  Audition criteria vary according to the discipline being studied and are specified under the relevant sections.  Entry to the Certificate in Creative Arts and Therapies is decided by interview only.
