A 6-month course of professional training for actors to develop performance ability in movement, voice and emotional connection to text. It is designed to develop a versatile and disciplined actor who understands performance presence and who can take direction and work productively in an ensemble.

The course is of 20 weeks duration comprising a total of 350 contact-teaching hours and is delivered between the hours of 9.00am and 1.00pm. It is anticipated that students will be able to undertake the training in conjunction with part-time employment in the afternoon and evening.

The course will culminate in the presentation of an ensemble work that is structured to develop students’ performance skills and enhance their ability to interpret text.

In selecting students to participate in the training, the audition panel will be looking at physical fitness and flexibility, vocal aptitude and performance ability. Consideration will be given to video auditions.
