Screen Acting

Studying screen acting is about learning to be natural and truthful on camera.  The technical aspects are important but it is often a matter of learning to ignore the camera and allow it to find you.  The camera will reveal your personality and your reactions to what is happening in the scene or your thoughts before you speak the line.  Listening and connecting emotively to the text are important tools for screen actors as is the ability to take direction and be flexible in your approach.  Often the best moments on-screen can be non-verbal moments so it is necessary to always take time.

Adult Beginners

Actors will explore a number of approaches to interpreting script and learn about the technical requirements of screen acting.  Short scenes will be filmed allowing actors to assess their performances

Adult Level Two

Actors will work on scripts to develop characterisation, emotional recall, presence on-screen and technical competence.
